July – September 2014
Smyrna Summer Memories
The Smyrna Museum is seeking photograph submissions for our new exhibit running July through September.
Showcase your own memories and add to our exhibit!
We are accepting submissions of photographs portraying summer activities that highlight our area. Photographs should show a fun “memory” that occurred in Smyrna, Clayton, Smyrna Landing or Woodland Beach.
From family afternoons at the lake, backyard barbecues, parade involvement, fishing on the pier, dogs running on the beach and summer gardens to historical architecture and old family photos. We want them all!
Submission Guidelines:
Please include the name of anyone pictured, location and date of photograph, along with current contact information if you would like your submission returned at the end of the exhibit.
Photographs for display will only be accepted in person at the Smyrna Museum (11 South Main Street, Smyrna Delaware) during our normal open hours on Saturdays from 10 am – 1 pm.
Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on all of our exciting free family friendly programs!
We need your help! This photograph was taken at Lake Como in 1946 during the annual Carnival thrown by the Citizens’ Hose Company. Do you know the names of the lovely ladies pictured? Please stop into the Smyrna Museum during our Saturday hours, 10 am – 1 pm to help us identify them! (Photograph Courtesy of The Citizens’ Hose Company No. 1 Inc.)
